Before the invention of e-mail, skype, and cell phones it wasn't as easy to stay in touch with people overseas as it is these days. I've lost touch with almost all of my models whom I worked with 20 years ago, when Paradise Plantation was shot. The only one I still have contact with from that film is Sylvio Ferreira.
